Childbirth Classes
At Mamas Move, our childbirth classes don’t just prepare for childbirth, but prepare for parenthood too! We offer a comprehensive childbirth preparation package instructed by RN’s, experienced birthing and new parent educators.
The journey into both motherhood and parenthood is sometimes a long and winding road with many paths. At Mamas Move we take the time to make our childbirth classes personal, meaningful, and educational. We are experienced mothers ourselves and know what it’s like to experience your first, second and beyond childbirth!

Childbirth Classes
Prepared Childbirth
Prepared Childbirth provides expectant mothers and their partners with the tools they need to make informed decisions and choices regarding pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. After this class, participants will have a good understanding of the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy and birth. This childbirth series discusses “normal” labor and what to expect throughout each stage and phase of labor. Class participants will practice relaxation and comfort measures and learn how to use techniques to help create a wonderful birth experience. They will have the information needed to understand complications, interventions, and cesarean birth. Prepared childbirth wraps up with an introduction to the immediate postpartum period and the basics of breastfeeding. Instructed by Diana Ciociola, Certified Childbirth Edcuator, 20+ years instructing on the South Shore. Available as a One Day Intensive.

HypnoBirthing®
HypnoBirthing is a unique method of relaxed, natural childbirth education utilizing hypnosis to ease labor stress and pain. More on HypnoBirthing Classes. 5 class series. Cost: $225 Member Price: $200 (insurance reimbursement may apply) Priced per couple.

The Fourth Trimester
Sleep, eat, shower, breathe, all the basics. Learn strategies to take care of yourself and your new baby during your “4th Trimester”. This class is a must before having baby and bringing baby home. Learn techniques for bathing, swaddling, safety, feeding and nurturing baby as well as postpartum care for mom, mind and body. Taught by Robin Goulding, RN, IBCLC. $45 for non-members, $40 for members (priced per couple) Next workshop:

Breastfeeding Support Basics and Essentials
Breastfeeding classes provide mother to be and parents to be the needed information regarding the benefits of breastfeeding, how to breastfeed, overcoming obstacles and more. Certified Lactation specialist and counselor, Robin Goulding, RN, IBCLC, will guide you through expectations and techniques to make you feel more confident in nursing your soon to be newborn. Infant Child CPR
Do you know what to do if your little one begins choking or shows signs of not breathing? Learn from a local Hingham firefighter/EMT and get certified in the most important thing you can do for your child- keeping them safe! $35 for members, $40 for non-members (priced per individual).

NEW!! Pediatric First Aid
From a seemingly simple scrape to a head trauma, this invaluable class will provide the information, sense of security and know-how to handle yourself and your little one in such a situation. Led by Norwell Firefighter and EMT, George Doucette- A MUST for any parent or guardian!
